joshr45
I noticed a couple things going wrong on my computer a couple days ago, first off my 250Gb hard drive started to have an I/O error while trying to look at any file on the drive(which made me quite mad), and overall system slowness after i got the drive back up and working while i copied the files off(it would drag any program you would try to use and maybe load after the copy was done), system has been working fine for quite some time. now im burning a DVD+R (as im typing this) and the buffer continually goes back and forth from 8-79%.... using nero(and didnt have this problem a couple days ago). could this be a possible ram problem ? oh yeah i pulled out and put the ide cables back in and started the computer up and the 250 seems fine now, can load any file on the drive.. System specs: Athlon 64 3200+ 2.0GHz 1mb L2 Gigabyte GA-K8NSNXP TwinX 2x512mb 3200 XMS i think LLPT Radeon 9800XT 8 hard drives Enermax 465watt powersupply dont remember the exact model number but amps are good
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 4, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 4, 2005 Can you tell me the exact model number of your memory module, please confirm this; since I would be suggesting some settings for you to try on your system, if possible to take a look at the chip itself. In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?
