Scott Pruett
:[pouts: I have just purchased and installed my twinx memory. My system consist of an Intel D865BGF MB, 3gig P4, ATi 9800XT 256, WD 200 gig SATA HD, Cdrom, CDRW and the power supply is a Antec Smart Blue 350. When I run quicktech diagnostic software on the new Twinx 1024-3200XLPT ram it fails the jump test at the same spot in any memory bank. My FSB is 800 and membus 400. Also my old ddr400 cas3 memory test good. Further more if I try to change the Cas lantecy to 2.5 or 3 the system will not post. Now here is the kicker, if I put the new Twinx memory in my D845PEBT2 board running a 2.6gig P4 with membus of 333, the memory test fine. Same power supply and video but without the drives connected. What is going on? Do you have any sugestions? Thanks for any help you can provide.
Scott Pruett
:sigh!: :o: Reloaded bios on MB. Now System Post issue is corrected when adjusting the cas latency. Also ran MEMTEST86+ and new Twinx 1024-3200XLPT still fails at cas latency 2-2-2-5. However if I change latency to 2.5-3-3-6 memory passes all test. Also if I set the latency to 2-4-4-8 it pases all test. What do you think my problem maybe. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 4, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 4, 2005 First thing, I am sorry but this MB will not let you set the Dim Voltage. As the minimum voltage suggested for these modules would be 2.75 Volts. I would check with Intel to make sure that the version of MB you have will not let you set the Dim Voltage, if not I would suggest another MB more suited for Over clocking. Like ABit, ASUS, or MSI.
