sw44mag
The computer will not boot with this stick of ram in it. When replaced with different memory it boots fine. This computer was built recently and never started with the CM2X512 stick in it, I had to buy new memory and it works fine now. When trying to boot the mobo freezes when doing the memory check. The code it stops on is C5 which I was told by ABIT tech support means the memory was not working.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 30, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 30, 2004 You will need to set the Dim Voltage to 1.9 Volts with this MB. Please try and set the voltage and test the modules one up with http://www.memtest.org and please make sure that you have the latest bios installed! sw44mag
I tried running the dimm at 1.9 volts and the board still hangs on C5. Does my system have to be overclocked to even use this memory. And can I overclock the system with the existing memory that is working and then shutdown replace with the CM2X512-5400C4 and reboot. Or should I send the part in for testing and possible replacement.
