MPierce559
I have and A8N-SLI Deluxe Motherboard and 2 CMX-3200LL Memory Modules. Timing set at this point to 3-3-3-10-1 Memory will test fine in DOS, but I get massive crashes with it in Windows XP Service Pack 2. Have a 430 Antec Neo Power, and all rails are reading stable. The CPU has been tested in seperate board and is good, with generic memory the system comes right around and is stable. The only other part in the machine is a Radeon X800 XT. I have used MemTest86 V 3.2, and the memory LOOKS fine there, but once it hits windows crashes, multiple loads of Windows on seperate Drives has not lead to any joy. Any ideas? :(:
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 2, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 2, 2005 I would try and load setup defaults and then set the Dim Voltage to 2.75 Volts and see if the system will pass http://www.memtest.org. But if you are passing memtest but the system is not stable in windows and or the modules pass on another system that would suggest some problem with your other hardware. woodchuck
hello ram guy - in regards to the a8n sli i did not see the TWINX1024-3200C2PRO posted as being compatible with the motherboard. in the case that it is compatible will it work with two sets (2 gigs, 4 sticks)? I really can't afford to go out and buy another combination of ram that equates to 2 gigs. woodchuck
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 4, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 4, 2005 Yes they should be compatible, but I would suggest you use Twinx2048-3200C2 for best performance.
