BigBadBiologist
I just bought 2x CMX512-3200C2. I would just like to state that I am a little disappointed because it is sort of false advertisement. If you go to Newegg.com and look up this RAM, it states the Cas latency is 2. But if you go to the Corsair web site, it has a * next to it stating that CL needs to be higher on AMD systems. The RAM does run great at CL2 in my 865 chipset board, but I really wanted it for my SN85G4V2 where it has to run at CL3 to even post. Most consumers just trust what Newegg or Zipzoomfly states and don't really consider that platform would make a difference in their RAM selection. I think Corsair needs to make sure their retailers do a little better job at clarifying the real timings of their RAM so customers won't be so disappointed when their RAM doesn't do what they thought it would. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 5, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 5, 2005 I am sorry that you are not happy, but that has been posted for some time now. I will mention it to the product manager for your reseller, but normally they give a link to the product when they post them that should have stated that we suggest Cass 2.5-3-3-6 on AMD platform. That being said the system you asked about SN85G4V2 as far as the info we have suggests DDR333 with more than one double sided module, have you tried the modules one at a time to make sure its not just a limitation of your system? But with 2 modules they should be able to run at Cass 2-3-3-6 at DDR333 with out problems.

Personally for Corsair to babysit 1000's of retailers is a lot to ask, don't ya think?
