After i got my new "CMX512-3200c2 -> XMS3202v4.1"

i added it in the second memory bank, then i started and

"Windows\System32\Config\System" blablabla -> and other errors with BIOS or NortonGoback occured

so i decided to put my new Memory out of the system.

My OLd Memory is :

"CMX512-3200cx2 -> XMS3202v4.1"

and My Motherboard is-> MSI KT4U -> till today i thought that this will be no problem caus KT400 dont support dual channel ... so teach me something else or whats the problem...

PLEASE HELP!!!

According to this you have 2 256 Meg modules, are you trying to add another 512 Meg module? And if so what are you setting the memory frequency and timing too? In addition, you say you have CMX512-3200C2 the settings for this module and this platform should be Cass 2.5-3-3-6 at DDR333 with one module and if you install more than one you may need to run the memory at PC-2100, sorry but that is a chipset limitation.

RG, he only has one 512 MB stick in there ATM, that output stuff is reading 2 banks for the one stick. Had to do a double take myself.

rund1me,

What CPU do you have? Also, dual channel is a property of the memory controller in your chipset, not the memory. It's compatible.
