simmotech
After weeks of getting errors reported in MemTest86(+) with two different sets of memory I found that just changing the system speed from the default of 204Mhz (Why 204Mhz I have no idea) to 200Mhz got rid of all my problems and allowed me to run at the promised 2.5-3-3-6 settings. Cheers Simon
jsteel44
Seems manufacturers overclock the bus slightly, pretty annoying if your memory or cpu can't quite hit an extra 4 Mhz (you'd be surprised how much can't). I've got 2 sticks of corsair PC2700 @ 3200 2.5 3 3 7 @2.6v in a test rig, it will not do 202MHz even at 2.8v, it boots but fails memtest and Prime95 after a few mins, at 200 its rock solid, my Abit AV8 runs a 204Mhz as default, annoying!
