FenPhen
I have a pair of TwinX XMS3200 256-MB sticks (512 MB total), and have been having memory problems. I ran the Windows Memory Diagnostic and MemTest with both sticks in slots 0/2 (or 1/3?) in my Abit IC7 board. I removed the stick in slot 2, and ran MemTest with just the stick in slot 0 and got errors (addresses in 00003cx-xxxx ranges) in pretty much all tests. I swapped out the bad stick in slot 0 with the other stick that was removed from slot 2. Then I ran MemTest and got 0 errors (the good stick in slot 0). Right now, I'm running with the good stick in slot 0 and have one bad stick. The label says: Corsair Platinum TwinX CMX256A - 3200LLPT XMS3205v1.1 0322048 XMS3200 256MB 400MHz 2326-T1 What should I do now?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 29, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 29, 2004 Please load setup defaults in the bios and then set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts and test them one at a time. If you find one is failing then lets get them replaced. But if you get errors with both modules, I would look for some other problem. Please send us a email with a copy of the form or all of your info name address and phone# and the Module part# and copy the link to this post and email it to Warranty@corsairmemory.com. Or you can also use the On Line RMA Request Form as well. If after 1 day or 24 hours excluding weekends you do not get the rma please email the same to rma@corsairmemory.com and we will help to resolve it. FenPhen
Please load setup defaults in the bios and then set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts and test them one at a time.I have been running the memory with default motherboard settings (and no overclocking). The memory voltage setting is 2.6V. Should I still bump it up to 2.7? The DRAM timing is set to "By SPD" with the following automatic settings: CAS Latency: 2.5 Act to Precharge: 6 RAS# to CAS# Delay: 3 RAS# Precharge:

FenPhen
Set the DDR SDRAM voltage setting to 2.7v, checked both modules in slot 0, same results. I'll fill out the form and send it in. Thanks for the quick replies. :):
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 29, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 29, 2004 O.K. no problem, but I would suggest you send both modules since you have a Twinx set.
