Hoosier
This is a "I already know the answers to this question" type of question but, Shortly after I build a FX-51(940 pin) system, the 940 pins get discontinued. :[pouts: AMD is not going to go beyond the FX-53 for the 940 pin chips. Now, Is the TwinX2048RE-3200 memory I have compatible with the new 939 pin chips or am I stuck and have to start all over again with all new parts? Thanks in advance! Hoosier
My initial answer was, "maybe" and it looks like the Asus A8V deluxe just might support this type of memory because the bios screens look exactlly like the ones on my SK8V. Specifically enabling and disabling ECC. That's why the post in this board so I could get a more definative answer... So now I've got one "No" and one "Maybe". Thanks Rain_Man! CMC_SAVAGE
Asus A8V deluxe just might support this type of memory because the bios screens look exactlly like the ones on my SK8V. These are two different chipsets. K8T800 and K8T800 Pro. Specifically enabling and disabling ECC. ECC and Registered are two different things. The A8V will not support Registered RAM. Also, Corsair does not sell Unbuffered ECC RAM.
