ryanfoley
I recently installed 512mb X 2 new matched set of pc3200 ram in a new build pc. Upon initial boot the computer gave me a series of continius long beeps, signifying a dram error. I re-seated the ram modules in the new motherboard and the issue did not repeat. The ram countdown on boot then worked ok, however when i attempted to instal win xp pro several different errors occored. After hours of trouble shooting i replaced the ram modules wit some old 512mb X 2 pc2700 ram and the error never happened again. to confirm this i once again put in the pc3200 ram and error occered once again. I can't help but to consider That the ram fails once is up to operating temp. I was told I have to seek tech. support before a warranty is considered. Please advise, Ryan

ryanfoley
FYI, Thought I would mention this. One of the two 512mb sticks works fine alone, but if I set it up in Dual channel (dimm 1+3) the second one malfunctions. If I take the second one and run it in the first position alone it does not work either. Currently the old pc2700 2X512 is configured in dual channel(dimm 1+3) and works fine. On post say's "ddr dual Channel enabled" .....should have bought the next model up.
