Xpman
I sent in my TwinX PC4400C25 last week. Fed Ex shows it was received and SIGNED on wed. I call today just to check the status of the RMA and what do I get? "I'm sorry sir..we haven't received it yet..we're not showing anything.." WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF? :shootme: :wtfman: :veryangry :brick:  :greencry: :uzi: :soapbox: :wtfeh: :whip: :flamethro Go ahead give it to me..I deserve it for not going with OCZ the first time. Good thing that I went with them the second time and that's what I'm happily using now. :wtfman: :brick: :whip: :wtfeh: Thank GOD for EBAY! Since that's where the Corsair is heading if it doesn't measure up to this LOWLY PC3200 Rev.2 from OCZ, when I get it back. What's happened to this company? I thought I was over reacting but then went to Xtremesystems.org and noticed what everyone there was using and realized is not just me!
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 28, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 28, 2004 What is your RMA# and I will check it for you? Or you can email customer Service with your tracking info and RMA# and I am sure they will check it for you!
Xpman
Thanks Ram Guy but you know what? I don't really care anymore (they know very well what it is, I wrote Georgette and email to confirm the RMA# last week and I replied to the same email she wrote so the # is there R66770). I got what I was after with my new ram and I'm happy there. It's cool. I'm not going to play that back and forth "try this setting, try that timing" or "what's your number..what's mine" game. Nooo, lol, not me. :D: Unless they pull a miracle ala OCZ Customer service I'm gone for good. Money is not an issue with me so I can buy 2 kits at a time of any brand to have a spare just in situations like these. I'm just glad I planned ahead and I'm set up. :D: Whenever they decide to do their job and get on the ball and send me the ram back. I won't even bother you guys a second time if it doesn't perform. I'll take a $30-$40 loss and sell it and still come out ahead because I know what to get and what works great in this board now. Thanks for your time though, I do appreciate it trust me. I'm just a little pissed about making a near $300 mistake but once I whoop the GF in an online game of AOE with my nice, new setup..I'll forget about it..I just won't forget what crap experience I had next time I buy more ram. :p:

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 28, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 28, 2004 Well I am sorry that you are not happy, but I just checked and we have not received the modules yet. Can you email me with your tracking info and I will personally go and look for your package?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 28, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 28, 2004 I found your modules and the reason they were not processed. You send the RMA request for Twinx1024-4400C25PT and the modules you sent in were non PT. I am sorry but that put a hold on them because the part# did not match what was received. In our system we only see if a given RMA was processed or not. I walked your RMA through and Customer Service and I got them in process, since you are in Los Vegas I asked they be sent Ground, so you should get the new modules in the next day or 2. I put in the right one. That's the RMA I was sent after I SPECIFICALLY told them it was PC4400C25..look here: I can also find the EMAIL and post it here, that I wrote to them saying it was PC4400C25 "N-O-N-E P-T".. "Please be sure to send back both sticks as we can not replace only one stick from a set. Thank you RMA Number: R66770 Part Number: TWINX1024-4400C25PT Number of modules: 1 Please reference the RMA Number on the packing list and shipping label. Return the module to the following address: Corsair Memory, Inc. 44141 S. Grimmer Blvd. Fremont, CA 94538" They "ASSUMED" it was PC4400 PT..why? Ask them..I don't know the answer to that. I then W-R-O-T-E them telling them it was NON PT. I don't make the typical moronic mistakes that some do.

Xpman
Relax man :D: Everyone makes mistakes, i'm sure they did'nt make the error just to spite ya lol. Yes, I know that..of course they didn't but that's besides the point. Want to know what's bothering me and making me feel like an "A Hole"? Read this first post I wrote when I was first looking for ram: http://www.houseofhelp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=161425#post161425 "It'll be either Corsair4400C25 or OCZ. The only reason I'd go with OCZ is because I've dealt with them before and NO ONE, not even NewEgg has the great customer service that OCZ does." That was what about a month ago I wrote that. I got the OCZ Plat. Rev2 right after the Corsair because I wanted another Gig for my GF's pc and to have an extra gig just in case. It turns out the OCZ is what I'm using and the Corsair either sell when I get it back from RMA or give to GF and get another Rev2 kit. Do you see why I'm all pissed? Because I knew I made a mistake not going with the better customer support/service and I knew if something went wrong that I'd be looking at a bunch of BS and/or unnecessary delays. It's my fault but I should not have gotten that reply and this delay, period. No big deal, it's just bs and honestly, not being sarccastic or anything..it's my own fault. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 29, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 29, 2004 The RMA was for RMA Number: R66770 Part Number: TWINX1024-4400C25PT Number of modules: 1 Taken from your reply, so I am not pointing the finger at you or at our customer service, only telling you why there was delay. It is easy to make a mistake with this, so enough said about that. In addition, The modules that you sent is I personally tested on a ASUS P4C800-E with a 2.4C CPU at 280 Mhz and they both pass one up and in dual channel. So all I can tell you is the problem is not the memory at least from what we have tested. And a new set of modules are on the way.

Dunno if OCZ would take the time to test RMA'd memory way outta spec like that, but IMHO that's going above and beyond. RG, remember the timings?
