H115i erratic fan revving.

I've been having this issue I don't know if the problem lies with Link, but I don't have any other programs controlling my fans. The thing is sometimes when I'm on quiet mode the fans will just start running full blast out of nowhere but the temps are below 40c idle so I set up a user profile with a 1/2 fan setup ex. at 30c fans are set at 40% and so on up to 60c its at 100%. Now the fans keep revving and the temps are between 30c and 36c. Why is that?

Why is this?

From what you have said I can't even guess what is causing this.

  1. Rather than quoting numbers it would be better if you posted the configuration panel screen image.
  2. What do you have to do to get the fans back to normal?
  3. Once the fans have speeded up do they ever automatically slow down?
  4. If not what then happens if you change to Fixed PWM % and then change the %? Do the fan speeds change?
  5. Can you change the LED colour once the fans have gone wonky?

  1. http://i.imgur.com/TLb3miL.jpg is this what you need?
  2. It jumps around on it's own it's very erratic.
  3. Yes like mentioned above.
  4. The fans stay at the same speed all the time with it set at Fixed %
  5. Yes I can.

I dunno how to explain this but its almost as if the fans are set to run with CPU usage and and not temps cause as soon as I open something the fans speed up like in the picture above but quickly settles and then jumps between RPM's

  1. Almost, but I would like to set the fan configuration panel. I also prefer [Home] to [Configure] as this includes the motherboard fans and is the same layout for all systems.
  2. Have you disabled CPU_FAN control in the BIOS? Which temperature controls the fan speed? #1 would tell me.
  3. OK.
  4. OK, the firmware must be still running OK.
  5. As for #4.
