H110i gtx Fan Rattle

One of my fans was making a rattle noise on a new h110i gtx so I contacted Corsair. They sent me a new fan but it isn't the same. It has much wider blades. I haven't installed it yet because I thought they may have sent the wrong fan. Did they change the fan design? If they did change the design having two different fan designs doesn't sound optimal. No way will they be running the same rpm with such a difference in blade design.

It will be best to contact customer service by replying to your ticket. it may also help if you include pictures of the fan you received.

The fans should look like the ones found in the product page.

The original fans do but the one they sent me looks like the fans on the other h110i http://www.corsair.com/en/hydro-series-h110i-280mm-extreme-performance-liquid-cpu-cooler

It is probable someone sent a GT fan instead of the GTX. It's not the first time and human error with this kind of thing was always likely with the naming scheme they initially used. As suggested above, I would contact customer service. You might want to include a picture so it is abundantly clear. If they are sensible, they will express a replacement out immediately and either let you keep the mistake or send a pre-paid label to return it. If for some reason you were hard pressed to use it as a mixed pair, it would not make much of a difference. Even when on a splitter, your fans do not run identical speeds and therefore do move the identical volume of air. It isn't necessary.
