Grant
I recently got a stick of Corsair CMX1024-3200PT for christmas i already have a stick of cmx512-3200PT in there. After installing the stick everything worked beautifully but like 10-15 mins into gameplay (random times) a screen popped up said something about bad memory reference point...I never had that problem before, i took it out, and the problems have ceased to exist. Before installing I did consulted my mobo manual for the recommended dual channel configs. I think there is something wrong with the module, i just need clarification. Wired
You can't run those 2 in dual channel as they're different sizes. What is the revision # of each stick? Try one stick at a time in the same slot, see what happens.
Grant
didnt know the modules have to be the same size...im trying the memory out in the slot right now...now i got question could i get another 512 stick and run dual channel with the 1 gig stick still in there or is that a no no? or would i best be to return the 1 gig stick (god i hate doing that) and getting 2 512's in its palce? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 28, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 28, 2004 It would be best to use either Twinx2048-3200 or Twinx1024-3200 but you should not mix these in dual channel.
