Warthog
Hi there, I think I have a faulty stick of ram. Here are the system specs: AMD AthlonXP 2500+ (Barton) - Clocked at 333mhz front side bus Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe Corsair CMX512 C2 PC-2700 Ram Maxtor DiamondMax 40gb IDE HD Asus V7700 - Geforce 2 GTS Deluxe 32mb Antec SmartBlue 350w PS I just got the motherboard today. Previously, I ran that setup on an Asus A7V8X with the similar following symptoms: -Programs randomly crashing --> for example IE crashing at random times, or Microsoft Word crashing at random times. -Programs not being able to install --> I receive errors of "corrupt" or "bad" media, no matter what program I try to install I strongly doubt that it is a motherboard problem ... the A7N8X-E is brand new! I had the exact same symptoms on the A7V8X motherboard. I remember on the A7V8X, to get it somewhat in working condition, I used to downclock the system to 266mhz front side bus (I was able to install programs, but random program crashes still occured). Any help would be appreciated!

Warthog
Hey, I sent an email with the required info to the warranty email. Typically, how long does this RMA process last (from receiving an RMA no., then shipping the ram, and receiving)?. I ask this because I sent away a motherboard once, a month later, I received a faulty one back (refurbished and fault). I RMA'ed it again, and demanded a new one. After another month, i finally received a new motherboard. Typically, when receiving an RMA product, will it be refurbished, or new? THanks! Wired
All RMAs are replaced with new memory. I believe after they get your memory it's 2 or 3 day shipping. Processing takes a day or 2 I think.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 28, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 28, 2004 Wired is correct, all RMA's are replaced with new modules and the average time is 5-7 business days! But it will depend on how you send them too us. Once received, usually the same day a new set will be shipped out UPS 3 Day.
