CMC_SAVAGE
Could you please post your system specs. Do you only have one module?
Wired
Do you have onboard video? 224 + 32 for onboard video = 256.
TurboLS
Yes, I have only one module and I put my system specs in the signature. thanks.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 27, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 27, 2004 That would be what's used by your On-Board Video and normal, I would try and set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts and then test the module with http://www.memtest.org to be sure. TurboLS
sorry to bring this post back from the dead. But I just got a chance to finally fire up the most up to date version of memtest. Within 2 minutes, it found 10 errors. I am going to let the computer run overnight and see how many it finds. I will post the errors, locations, and whatever else up if necessary. thanks. P.S. I switched over to an Antec True380 power supply and I unplugged all hard drives and all CD drives except for one, my plextor cdrw drive.
TurboLS
Also, when I was trying to install windows (b/c I got the new power supply), I got a whole slew of errors. But, the first install with the new power supply went off without a hitch. Then, stuff would crash randomly in windows and i would get BSODs again. Now, I cannot install windows successfully and here are the errors I have had so far: 1.) STOP: 0x00000024 (0x001902F8, 0xFA3579C8, 0xFA3576C8, 0x807CDD83) 2.) TurboLS
I just checked the Memtest, which has been running all night and there are now 8,345 errors. I'd say this RAM is toast. Can I get an RMA number?

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 26, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 26, 2005 Should not take that long 5-7 days on average. You might email your RMA # to rma@corsairmemory.com and ask for the status of your RMA.

TurboLS
I got the RMA number and shipped out the defective unit today. It should take about 5 days to get to Fremont, CA.
TurboLS
Also, I was wondering if you guys knew of a bootable motherboard tester. I don't want to get shiny new RAM and have it screw up on me again because of something else. I seriously doubt it's the power supply, b/c antec's have good tolerances and I doubt it's the chip, b/c the temperatures are well within specs. Thanks in advance. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 31, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 31, 2005 Memtest86 is a bootable application, which will throughly test your memory module, and will generate an error if the module or modules is/are bad.
