jetjock46
I have a Dell Inspiron 8200 and for Christmas my daughter gave me some new ram. It is VS512SDS266. I installed it into the A slot and put one of the 128 ram in B slot. It would not start. Then I took the extra 128 out and just had the new 512 in the A slot. It would not start. I put both 128's back in and the computer runs fine. Is this chip not compatible or is it bad! Give me some information PLEASE. I need the speed. Thanks for the help.
Wired
Dells are notoriously picky when it comes to memory, especially running it with its own memory. Memory may not be bad, just not compatible. If you know the FSB of the CPU, you can find compatible memory here: http://compatible.corsairmemory.com
