B key positioning

Hey Folks,

Quick question. I just received a K70 as a gift, and noticed that the B key is positioned higher than the adjacent V and N keys when looking straight down at the board. It also sits taller than than V and N. Is this by design? I figured since some games use Z-V keys that an elevated B would give your fingers a better sense of where they are...or I could be totally wrong. Either way, this is the nicest keyboard I have ever owned!

Yeah, you got the wrong keycap on the B key. Corsair support should be able to ship you the correct one.

One of my K95 RGBs had a letter printed upside down. I thought it was funny so I never got it fixed, but since yours appears to be the wrong cap entirely, I'd get them to send you the right part. An inconsistent key like that would drive me nuts typing.

Thanks for the replies so far! So one more thing to add: I removed the keycap and switched it out with other in the same row (e.g. replaced the B cap with the V cap), and the problem still exists. Would that much variation exist between keycaps in the same row? I even placed the B on the V switch, and it looked completely appropriate. Upon further investigation, the cherry MX switch beneath the B keycap seems to sit differently than its neighbors, so I'm beginning to wonder if that's the culprit. I may have to send this board back, but I could certainly try to get a new keycap from Corsair first. Thoughts?

Can you remove the key cap and take a look at the actual switch itself? Is the Cherry logo on the bottom or top for that key?

Hey Henry,

The logo is on the bottom, and the lettering is upside down. I removed the keycap (and those adjacent to it for reference) and took a few pics for you. My phone is crappy, so I apologize for the poor image quality.

Thanks for the picture. I just wanted to make sure that they didnt screw up putting on the switch itself. It looks like the fault is with the keycap. As toasted has mentioned, submit a ticket and we will send you a replacement keycap. If you run into any issues, please let me know.
