Rkolegendkiller
I am getting blue screen's all over the place when i run them in dual channel mode. For some reason if I run them single channel it will run fine, but the whole reason I bought this ram was to run dual channel. Does anyone have any idea's as to what might be wrong? Also going single channel as opposed to dual, would I notice a performance decrease, or would there even be one? Thank you for all you'r help. I have the gigabyte k8 ns ultra 939, with the winchester 3000+.

Rkolegendkiller
I ran memtest and did what you said I got alot of error's, then I tried it in my brother's motherboard and it ran fine for hour's in dual channel mode. You think I have a bad mobo?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 29, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 29, 2004 It would be possible, or maybe a failing PSU or some other component. But if you tested the modules in another system and they both pass I would check your other hardware.
Rkolegendkiller
Well I just got a new OCZ powerstream 420 and it does work in single channel mode but dont you lose performance in single as opposed to dual channel? If not I guess I will just keep it in single :(
Rkolegendkiller
Come on people keep the suggestions coming. Now I can't even overclock anymore like I could before I put this second corsair stick in there. This is really getting me mad.
jsteel44
Did you buy this as a pair or seperately? If seperately then its quite possible that the RAM is not working well together in DC mode in your particular platform, from what you're saying it seems like one 512 was there before? The thing is, when you buy seperately you might get RAM that outwardly seems the same but might contain totally different ICs etc..
Rkolegendkiller
Ya it sounds like that's what happened. Now I know why they sell dual channel kit's :)
Rkolegendkiller
The only thing I can't understand is why it work's in my brother's computer, and not mine.
