CasinovaRock23
I bought 1gb (2x512mb) of Corsair PC3200 Value Select Memory sometime in the late spring/early summer of 2004. It has since gone bad and when my computer expert friend did software memory tests on it he found that it was chalk full of errors. I was prompted to have him test it when my computer started randomly restarting. I had read that a possible cause of that would be bad memory, and, sure enough, it was. I would like, if at all possible, to send Corsair both my sticks and have them repaired/replaced asap. That would be terrific and I hope to make this RMA process a quick one. Thanks. Wired
Have you tried them one at a time in the same slot, or in already known working slots? What CPU / FSB / motherboard were they tested in? What is the exact part # of the memory?
CasinovaRock23
The part number on the RAM is 04110940. I have tried testing them one at a time in the same slot and I know the slots work cause we used another guys RAM in them and it worked fine. I am running an AMD 64 3500 on an MSI Neo2 K8N Platinum board. From what I can tell it should work and it doesn't, and with the testing that showed the memory faulty that is enough to convince me that it needs replaced.
