Originally a BitFenix Phenom M Case this lunchbox inspired PC combines both new and the old with a beaten up lunchbox scavenged from the wastelands and shiny new Vault Tec hardware!

I customized some Corsair Vengeance RAM to look extra Vault Tec like.

The side panel was hinged from the bottom so that it would hinge just like the lunchbox provided from the collector’s edition of Fallout 3 (was used as reference) A latch was placed at the top at the door to hold it closed.

A giant hole was then blown into the side panel to add to the damaged look but to also create a window to the shininess on the inside. A Perspex barrier was placed behind the hole to prevent a large amount of dust from getting through.

Nuka Cola caps were used as the power and reset buttons and a handle was built in and reinforced in the top so it can hold the weight of the filled case.

A Pip-Boy was built with an LCD and a programmed Arduino to display the ‘Please Stand By’ image as well as several other images directly related to the Pip-Boy.

The inside is obviously themed in the Vault Tec blue and yellow all hit with a gloss clear coating to make it as shiny as physically possible.

The specs of our wasteland ready PC are as follows:

Intel i7 4790

Corsair Vengeance 16gb 1600Mhz

Gigabyte H97m

Corsair Neutron XT 240GB

WD Black 2TB

Corsair AX860

Phanteks PH-TC12LS Low Profile CPU Cooler
