bad stick of CMX512RE-3200LL

Recommended Posts

i purchased a FX51 (940), SK8N and a pair of CMX512RE-3200LL retail combo 3 months ago and have been having problems w/ it.

it happen like this, after the initial OS and most recent drivers intalled everything would work great. but i would get intermitent blue screens, random restarts and download errors. very rarely at first but after 2 weeks it became constant. i decided it must have been a driver conflict and reinstalled the OS again. same senario, works great at first then after a couple of weeks blue screens, random restarts and download errors.

i started researching for answers in hardware forums (anand,[H], Ars....) to see which drivers worked best and installed them. same result. worked fine at first them errors. started switching hardware, vid card same result, cpu same result. but then when i switch mems NO ERRORS.

so i started experimenting with my mems, putting them in different slots-errors. then i decided to test each module. one module would cause the system to not boot and give me beeps. while the other would not only work but all the errors are gone.

i've been using that one module for days now and have not gotten any errors.

so it's clear that one module is bad and would like to get it replaced. how do i get the RMA thing going? never had to do this before.
