scumbies
I have the A8N-SLI Deluxe mobo but I can't decide what memory to get. I am not an overclocker (yet  ) but perhaps that isn't too much of an issue as I was under the impression that NForce4 does overclocking automatically? Your Asus desktop guide doesn't cover A8N SLI boards. Your XMS memory guide indicates that with Athlon FX S939 I should go for: TwinX1024-3200C2, or TwinX1024-3200XLPRO Hoever, this memory isn't listed in the Asus Qualified Vendors List which suggests 1024MB CORSAIR TWINX2048-3200C2. But that's too much RAM for me..and the 512MB modules are Value Select which I thought were a bit "cheap and cheerful". Also, what is better: your XL or your XMS memory? So, as you can see I'm a little bit confused. I want two 512MB DDR 400 (PC3200) DIMMS that work well with this mobo and that offer high performance out of the box. What should I buy? Please help me Obi Wan. thanks in advance
CMC_SAVAGE
http://compatible.corsairmemory.com/memorysearch.aspx?modelid=1163 I'd go TWINX-10243200XL.
Wired
Also, XMS is just a general product line, XL is one of the models in that line.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 23, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 23, 2004 I would suggest Twinx1024-3200XL as they would have the best performance and give more options if you plan on over clocking.
