darkhorse29 Posted February 28, 2016 Share Posted February 28, 2016 So I had an unexpected shutdown and discovered that my fan controller molex connector had come apart, and shorted out. So I pulled the fan controlled and rebooted and everything seems fine, would this have damaged the power supply or anything? I've run through and checked all my voltages, everything is in spec. asrarhassan Posted February 29, 2016 Share Posted February 29, 2016 Happened to me once with additional SATA molex connector, its always good to have short circuit protection on your PSU. Use black insulation tape to keep your connectors sturdy. If everything works fine, then you're alright for now.
