False advertising on Amazon UK for non-rgb K70 (gen3)

Very, very disappointed to find out infact that macros are not an option (unless I am mistaken). I am back abroad now for work and unable to refund through Amazon so I'm stuck with this very pretty piece of metal. I used tonnes of macros on my old keyboard and thought it would be no different with this one, considering the price and the quote, 'Entire keyboard is programmable to assign a macro to any key'.

I would suggest contacting amazon about removing this feature from the product description as I would 100% not have bought this product having known macro support was unavailable.

Thanks corsair, will have to spend £160 on a new keyboard when I get back but i'm doubtful it will be one of yours.

Also if I am mistaken I'd greatly appreciate any help that's on offer.

You can't really blame Corsair here for Amazon having the wrong description :(:

Most likely they updated/copy-pasted it from somewhere else and didn't remove that line. The K70 non-RGB has been out for years at this point and it never supported macros.

Are you 100% sure gen3 doesnt support macros? Why does the CUE software say no device is detected when it clearly is? A lot of people have this issue btw.

Gen 3 is misleading, it refers only to the changed logo and Corsair never used that term. The shops started using it randomly and it makes people think the hardware was updated when infact it is not.

Gen 1: old sails logo

Gen 2: gaming logo

Gen 3: new sails logo

Also the K70 non-RGB never had any software, macro or effects support at all from the start. It is not a CUE device either and CUE will never recognize it. The devices recognized by CUE are: KXX RGB, Strafe (RGB and non) and all the new mices (Sabre, M65 RGB, Scimitar, Katar).

Thanks for the confirmation at least...

Logging a complaint with the advertisement standards agency and emailing amazon. Can't see anything coming of it and im not even in the country to deal with it but might as well.

Maybe if you try to PM Corsair Henry or James they can arrange something for you, I can't guarantee anything but it is worth a shot at least :):

Like you said it's not really corsairs fault. However, good news as it appears im getting a full refund credited to my bank account
