Ok i want to buy another gigabyte of corsair xms memory but i dunno which to chose and which will be compatible with the memory that i already have. Whatever the memory is i need it to take up one memory slot. (so 1 stick)

Anyways here are some of my computer specs:

Amd Athlon 64 3400

Powercolor Radeon 9800 XT

SB Audigy 2 Zs

Asus K8V Se motherboard

these are the specs i read off one of the memory sticks:

CMX512 3200C2

XMS3200 512MB 400MHz CL2

I want to buy another gigabyte stick but i need to know what i should buy, if it will be compatible, and if they sell it in one stick. Thanx hope you can help.

Please check the label on the module. Should be like:

Corsair

CMX512-3200C2

XMS3202 Rev 3.1

0404098.

Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have, or you can check the user manual they list the memory specification.

With this MB you only have 3 slots, if you have 2 modules installed now you would have to run the memory at DDR333, and if you add another module that is not exactly matched the system will not post! I would suggest you replace what you have now with Twinx2048-3200C2 if you need to have more memory. But you would not be able to mix 512 Meg and 1.0 Gig modules, sorry!
