Townseljunior
I've tested this stick with MemTest86 and it came up bad while the other stick I have (they run in dual channel) came up as fine. I would like to RMA this stick but I need an RMA number obviously. Can anyone give me an indication as to how I can obtain one?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 21, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 21, 2004 Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?
Townseljunior
MB is an ASUS A7N8X... CPU is AMD 2800+ (non-overclocked)... BIOS settings are 166MHz bus... RAM usually runs at 200MHz in dual channel mode. No other settings have been tweaked. Ram was just put in and run, no performance enhancing editing was done in any settings. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 22, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 22, 2004 I am sorry but with a 333FSB CPU you will need to run the memory at DDR333 as well. If you try to run the memory at DDR400 and the CPU at 333 FSB it will cause a bottleneck in the chipset and may generate errors that are not the fault of the memory!
