techz
Hi folks, I figured I'd post here since it's I'm having repeated issues with the same RAM. Just built a new system, spec's here: http://i.imgur.com/DjZHJy7.png This is the Amazon link for the exact Corsair Vengeance kit I bought http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OTJZNI2/ Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 2400MHz (PC4-19200) C14 memory kit for DDR4 Systems (CMK32GX4M4A2400C14) The RAM presented errors in Memtest86 v5.01 that I ran off UBCD, screen grab here: http://i.imgur.com/MrkQ175.jpg I contacted Amazon and they sent over an identical replacement, put it in today and it errors again on the same test http://i.imgur.com/4DsFoXd.jpg I have enabled XMP on the Board. *edit* The test runs in SMP mode. I've run a few hours of Windows Memory Diagnostic - no errors. I've run a few hours of PassMark MemTest86 V6.3.0 and no errors. So either (a) that test on the other variant of MemTest is causing an issue as it's an old version, (b) the RAM is part of a bad batch? © my luck with Corsair sucks this time around. Any help is most appreciated!
Corsair Employees Corsair Henry Posted February 8, 2016 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 8, 2016 For memtest86, DDR4 support was not added till version Version 6.0.0, so using version 5.01 is most likely your issue.
sahafiec
that sound strange, I did the same test on my CMK16GX4M4A2400C14 rams and had no errors at all. did you run MemTest86 or MemTest86+? that's my result with MemTest86+ version 5.01 for over 8 passes with no single error. http://abload.de/img/test_2uoueh.jpg
