Other keyboards to K95 RGB

Hi there!

So this would probably be the 10th time I've had to write this out since nobody fully understands what I am talking about when I try explaining this and it seems many people are deluded and think it will work for any keyboard.

My problem is that when downloading a profile that I really would love for my K95 RGB, it only has versions for a K70 RGB(usually) and won't be able to be converted to a K95 RGB. I've been looking in the deepest depths of the internet for a lighting profile for CSGO on my K95 RGBbut can't find any other than versions for a K70 RGB. I ask the profile author if they can convert this for a K95 RGB but usually the reply is "Just convert it". If you're one of these guys, please do know that it is not as simple as "just converting it" for the K95 RGB.

Take a look at this

YOU CAN'T CONVERT FROM A K65, K70, or Strafe to K95. See Chart Below

K65 -> K70 | K65 -> K95 | K65 -> Strafe

K70 -> K65 | K70 -> K95 | K70 -> Strafe

K95 -> K65 | K95 -> K70 | K95 -> Strafe

Strafe -> K65 | Strafe -> K70 | Strafe -> K95

The K95 profiles must have 1 mode bounded to each M key, you can still mod the .prf file so it will work for a K95 but don't ask for help. Its to much trouble.

Please Please pay full attention that lighting profiles cannot be converted 'so it says' from a K70 RGB to a K95 RGB. It is possible but it's 'too much effort' Well, considering that i've been looking for the last 3-4 months of how to do it instead of just changing the code in notepad++ to say "K95 RGB", It simply does not work.

I even went on to this thread to ask the thread owner if he could convert it which he was taking requests, his reply was simply to the link that i've been staring at for months which says clearly in the thread he linked to me that "You cannot convert a K70 RGB to a K95 RGB"

So what I am asking is How on earth do I get a lighting profile that only seems to exist on a K70 RGB to work on a K95 RGB.

I've probably asked this about a million times and nobody seems to quite understand that it's not as easy as converting it, so please tell us K95 RGB users HOW DO WE DO IT?!?!?!?

so what profile do you want converted. and you can convert it with CUE if they export it correctly.

click the icon beside each mode and export as mode lighting.

There is no other way to convert profiles rn. They are plans to make converting easier but i cant talk about that.

I was looking at this one some time ago but I doubt there is actually anyway to convert these to K95 but I'd like to have some knowledge in going about how to.

heres the ez way.

Acquire all keyboard models. K65,K70,K95, Strafe RGB

import the profile on the keyboard it was made for.

export it as mode lighting.

import it on the keyboard you want. Let CUE auto convert what it can.

Fill/fix in the missing stuff

ill convert that one for you tomorrow.

Well, damn. I hadn't known it had to go to the extent of getting all models. The most popular of course being the K70 RGB and It just so happens I have a friend with a K70 RGB. Would It be possible if he was to import it to his CUE, export it as mode lighting, and then he sends me to finish the rest?

Did you manage to get that one converted?

Cheers

This is super awesome! Thanks a bunch!

I took this on my K95 and mixed it up a little so has some lighting effects on the G keys, numpad, changed some colours etc so If anyone comes looking for the K95 CSGO Profile, might be worth while reusing this one!

Cheers again for the conversion!
