vincent furon
Hello, I bought a pair of twinx 1024 3200xlpro modules and since then, my system suffer from chronic instability that randomly occurs, but preferentially during high memory bandwith applications (Gaming of course !). My retailer refuse an exchange because memtest run OK for 2 hours. I don't agree for to reasons : first of all, my old pair of KingMax DDR400 run totaly stable on this equipment . Second, after separate investigation of the 2 modules, one of them seem to be a bit on the short, causing prime95 to crash at only 220 Mhz at slowed timings (2.5/3/3/6). According laudatory reviews about these modules (talking about 240 or even 250 Mhz under these conditions), this is very suspect, all the more so because the second module run 250 Mhz during hours without a hitch under the same conditions ! For these reasons, I suppose that one of the module is not totaly stable and I would be grateful if you would accord me the exchange refused by my retailer. I can understand a refusal for functionnal modules handling "only" 200 Mhz cause these are the anounced specifications, but in my case, the instability I encounter on defaults settings make them simply unusable ! Here is my configuration : MSI K8N Neo2 Athlon 64 3500+ 130 nm (2200 Mhz) TwinX 1024 3200xlpro 2.7 V 2-2-2-5 (tried 2.8 and 2.85V but no improvement) Asus V9999 Gamer edition (NV 6800) Antec TruePower 430W I hope my request will hold your attention and I wish you a merry christmas.
