Toasted
How big of a gap is it? If its a tiny bit, it shouldn't really matter as it will tighten when you install the cooler.
snapper69
asus motherboards are known for being a little bit thinner than other makes, thereby messing up back plate installations. If you find that it doesn't pull tight when you install the pump, you can use some appropriately sized rubber/fibre washers to take up the slack. Deadlock
Make sure you have the back plate on correctly. The back plate should be aligned so that the notches are next to the two screws: If your water block is still loose after this, you may need some washers.
