dwsmithacs
I purchased 2 "sticks" of your highly rated XMS memory when I purchased an ASUS A7N8X-Deluxe motherboard from Mwave.com in March of 2003. They have performed very well, and fast! However, I have recently begun seeing memory errors. I downloaded and ran the Microsoft Memory Tester, and tested it with individual memory sticks installed. One of the Corsair sticks is just fine, but the other one has a bit that is sticking. This has caused me several aborted CD-burning sessions. The computer works fine most of the time, but things get ugly when I try memory-intensive applications. Today, I removed the cover, and ran the Microsoft Memory Tester with each of my memory sticks separately. One Corsair ran fine for all tests (including the extended tests), but the other stick gets errors on every test. BIOS changes are not needed, as the other stick is working just fine. The BIOS adjusts to the number of sticks that I have instered at each system boot. I also tried the failing stick in each of the three memory slots, with no change in the result. What can I do with this memory stick? The numbers from the label on the cover are: CMX256A-2700C2 XMS2700 256MB 333MHz CL2 XMS2702v1.3 0309047 I hope that this information is what you require.
