regs
K70 is being supplied to Russia with non-standard short shift key and useless duplicated slash keys making it completely incompatible for FPS gaming and large amount of typing. Any plans to fix it? Or any way to replace shift and turn off duplicated slash key?
regs
Standard Russian layout (very close to American, except double-level large Enter) just for the info. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:KB_Russian.svg
Administrators Technobeard Posted January 23, 2016 Administrators Share Posted January 23, 2016 What's the part number on the back of your keyboard? Attach a pic of the full keyboard here and we'll see if it matches the part number (which it should).
regs
I don't have any yet. I want to buy a brown one. Here is official layout for Russia http://www.ulmart.ru/goods/3445326 To be exactly this one, but it doesn't have pictures of actual product http://www.ulmart.ru/goods/3709930
terabyte
That image does indeed look slightly different compared to the layout available in CUE.
Corsair Employees Corsair James Posted January 25, 2016 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 25, 2016 There are going to be two Russian layouts and I'll explain why. Initially, there were some keyboards done in the Russian layout you showed. However, it was not what the regional retailers wanted as a layout. Instead, they wanted the layout that uses a layout similar to NA, hence why it was changed for newer keyboards.

Initially, there were some keyboards done in the Russian layout you showed. However, it was not what the regional retailers wanted as a layout. Instead, they wanted the layout that uses a layout similar to NA, hence why it was changed for newer keyboards. Well, i can't find those NA layouts at all. NA is close to Russian except it has single-level Enter. Dual-level Enter is much easier to use. For some it also crucial, but not for me. So which one is CH-9000119-RU? https://www.ulmart.ru/goods/3709930 Or how to distinguish those layouts without breaking a seal on packaging? Any different part numbers or serial numbers on a package? Corsair Employees Corsair James Posted January 28, 2016 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 28, 2016 It should be exactly the same as the NA Layout, but let me check with our team and I'll get back to you.
regs
Erm, will it have Russian symbols and backlight for Russian symbols if it has exact same NA serial number?
Corsair Employees Corsair James Posted January 28, 2016 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 28, 2016 Erm, will it have Russian symbols and backlight for Russian symbols if it has exact same NA serial number? The layout will have the appropriate key symbols on them to reflect the regional layout but the button sizes and shapes remain the same. Here is what it looks like:
regs
Hmm, Russian font is pretty ugly and no ruble sign on 8, but still - how to find it? Should it be CH-9000119-NA on a package sticker?
Corsair Employees Corsair James Posted January 29, 2016 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 29, 2016 Its supposed to be CH-9000119-RU. Also, the font is from a STRAFE keycap set but its actually going to be the same font as existing K70.
regs
Well then same question again - how to distinguish EU and ANSI layouts by a sticker without breaking a seal? Any difference in part numbers?
Corsair Employees Corsair James Posted January 29, 2016 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 29, 2016 Look at the UPC. The bar code will have a part number on there. All keyboards will be CH-9000019-XX. XX = Regional layouts.
regs
Right, but how to distinguish EU-RU (CH-9000119-RU with EU layout) and ANSI-RU (CH-9000119-RU with ANSI layout)?
