MiP
Problem with boot sequense. Computer boot up and shuts down several times. And sometimes it starts booting but stops and doesn´t start up the monitor. It somewhat hangs, but after a while it startover and then boots up but several times the cmos defaults is loaded, but not every time. I haven´t made any major changes in the Biossettings. Only the ddr voltage that I put to 2.70Volts to comply to the Cas 2-5-2-2 setting. I also have bluescreens inside OS. Different messages every time, about what caused the error. The strange thing is that if I let the power stay on for a while(without Starting the computer by the button) then it starts like it should. But only if I let it stand for a while. It´s like something need to be charged to have enough power to start the computer. Any suggestions would be appriciated. And sorry for my bad english. Yellowbeard
It is possible that the 925 chipset cannot run the timings the RAM is capable of. Please try setting the timing for RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD) to 3 instead of 2. Also, you can safely set the RAM voltage higher. I suggest 2.75v, 2.8v, or 2.85v if you have these options. Mike. MiP
But I don´t have 925X, I have 915P chipset. But you think the timings can be the problem? The specs. for these modules i 2-2-2-5, what should I set them too instead?

The specs. for these modules i 2-2-2-5, what should I set them too instead? That is my mistake as you have the 915 chipset. However, the 915 and 925 chipsets run essentially the same RAM timings. And yes, if the timings are set too aggressively, the board will not run properly. I suggest you manually set the RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD timing) to 3 instead of 2. Mike. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 20, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 20, 2004 Please check that you have the latest bios and then load setup defaults and set the Rass to Cass to "3" and set the Dim Voltage to 2.75 Volts and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org to be sure.
