Could anyone tell me if commander mini is any good for starters as all I see is problems with it, on here.

Also is it compatible with windows 10 64 bit OS. The reasons for asking, is that I am trying to get one for my system but for a while now the Corsair shop hasn't had any in stock.

My system at the moment is:

Case: Obsidian 750D

CPU: i7 4770K

MB: MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming

Memory: Avexir Blitz series 1.1 16 Gb 1866

GPU: 2x MSI GTX 780 Twin Frozr 3 Gb

PSU: AXi 860

CPU Cooler: Corsair H110i GTX.

It's not perfect, but they mostly work for me (I have 4 x CLCC!). If Corsair fixed the firmware it would be good.

It will work on W10 x64 TH1 + TH2 + RS1, but you may need to do as I say in http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=153706

The main PITA is that CL only works with temp sensor 4, 1 -> 3 don't, see http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134621

There is also the flashing issue, see http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=137364

Well, the hope around here is that the 4.0 software can make it better, but since that is probably still a while away, I would just consider the following test: Did you get Corsair link to work with your H110i GTX? If yes, then the Commander Mini will work, since the Link software works (the biggest issue). But, as far as I know the H110i GTX doesn't have a Link cable connector on it and from what I read, the software has issue with 2 devices both using the internal 2.0 USB headers... I haven't tried it myself...

Anyway, I built this PC about 2 years ago now (time flies...), with the intent of using the H100i on my I7-4770K for better temps while overclocking. And I'm still satisfied with its cooling performance, the fan headers on my pump block were giving me issues (1 of the 2 connectors, the adapter cables both work with all my fans in the other connector) and since I ran 4 PWM fans in push/pull (maybe they pulled to many amps, unsure, they aren't even led fans...), I needed a solution, but I didn't feel like getting an 5.25 bay fancontroller.

So I ordered the Commander Mini just before the summer last year, knowing full well what a pain the Link software can be, mostly for the challenge of getting it to work. I got it to work, updated the firmware, added the link cable to my H100i, just needed to delete my profiles and set it up once and it all worked... Actually not as challenging as I had hoped... Sadly 4 days later, my Commander Mini died and the retailer sent me a replacement that is now running properly for 8 months, so luck of the draw perhaps.

I also added the Corsair Lighting kit x2 to the mix to light up my case Window (Carbide 54 Air). This also works fine, no issues so far after 3 months.

My conclusion, the hardware in the Corsair Commander Mini is solid, like most anything Corsair makes, but software has a ways to go! I hope for a unified software suite, I currently have 4 Corsair tools on my PC: Corsair Link, Corsair Utility Enging (CUE), Corsair Gaming Headset Control Panel and Corsair SSD Toolbox...
