De Josz
I've got a question about my Ram XMS 3200LLPT C2. Every time I look here I see the Timings 2-3-2-6, but on my ram it says 2-2-2-6!! If I take a look in the listings of Corsair memories my ram does not exists. How is it possible? Secondly If I have a Abit NF7-S V2.0 in what bank do I put the modules. Is it my memory double or single sided??
Wired
What is the EXACT part # on the side of your memory?

Wired
You have double sided memory. keep in mind that double sided is different than dual channel.
De Josz
Thanx, but does it matter if i put the memory in bank 1 2 or 3??
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 20, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 20, 2004 For dual channel with Nforce2 you would use slots 1-3 or 2-3. And XMS3200LL would be Cass 2-3-2-6 with the Rass to Cass set to "3"!
De Josz
Ok, thanx Ram Guy!!! I now have the right timings and the right banks. Now I'm going to overclock my system. 2800+ Barton, FSB upped to 200 X 11,5 = 2300 Stable. But if I benchmark the system It goes down by 1000pts 3dmark 05. Is this a problem with my memory or the bios settings???
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 22, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 22, 2004 What are the settings at both bench marks settings?
De Josz
Sorry for my late response. The settings were the same. Standaard 3dmark 2005 settings without aa or af!! 1024x768 32bit colors. Has it something to do with my processor running at 333 and my memory at 400?? I've heard something with cpu/fsb ratio but I don't understand this function. I can't set this function to 1:1 only at auto and some other settings like from 3:3 to 6:6.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 27, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 27, 2004 Well with this platform you will need to run the memory in sync with your CPU or you will have poor performance. And 3D Mark is a Video test so you may not see any difference, I would suggest Everest 1.5.
