JJ77
Hello, I have just bought a used (but mint condition) h100i AIO cooler, however it comes without fans or the Y cables. Are the Y cables specific to Corsair or can I use any Y cables, I think I have a pair of AKASA splitters which I could use in the meantime until I can get some Corsair ones. I am installing a pair of Corsair SP120 LED fans onto the radiator. Also, what size (ID/OD) are the washers which come with the screws for mounting fans? Thanks, Jonathan
red-ray
Are the Y cables specific to Corsair Yes, I found them on eBay, see http://www.ebay.com/itm/262087159260. You should use 4-pin PWM fans. See http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134783 Thanks, I will order some! One more question, I have a pair of Corsair SP120 LED fans to go on my radiator, however I think these are 3 pin? Will they still work with corsair the splitter cable and corsair link software Thanks, Jonathan
red-ray
I have 2 x 3-pin + 2 x 4-pin on my H100i so can confirm 3-pin will work, but I recommend 4-pin PWM.

Am I right in thinking the 3-pin fans will still be able to be controlled by Corsair Link, but won't be as finely controllable as 4-pin PWN and won't slow down as much? This is not a problem for me, as it is a front mount radiator pushing cool air through the rad into the case, so I don't want to drop the airflow too much at idle. red-ray
CL should be able to control 3-pin fans. Yes, 4-pin offer better control especially at low speeds. BTW you should add your PC Specs to your profile as this information is often needed for others to help you.
