jamesfc3
First I would like to say that I have read and tried everything that I found on the internet about fixing my problem. Corsair Link no longer changes fan speeds on one of my computers. If I select performance mode or quiet mode, it makes no difference at all. I have deleted all profiles. Uninstalled in safemode. Cleaned my windows registry of all keys. Unplugged it from my usb on my mobo and moved it to another usb. I have checked that my fans are not being controlled by my mobo and that they are plugged into the proper place. I have 4 fans. All of them are Corsair Air Series AF120 CO-9050015-RLED 120mm Red LED Quiet Edition High Airflow Fans. Its my understanding that my pc specs will be automatically inserted into this thread. These specs are the pc that is having a problem with the corsair link. Im willing to try anything that anyone else can think of. My next step is going to be deleting both of my hard drives and starting fresh. I hate to do that but my computer sounds like a jet getting ready to take off. My other pc is 3 times the computer and it sounds like its not even running... just incase your interested here is a cpuz link to my other computer and the corsair link works fine on it. http://valid.x86.fr/4wtygj Thank you in advance for any input. Toasted
What cooler or LINK devices are you using? Are the devices detected in Windows and the LINK software as well?
jamesfc3
Corsair Hydro Series™ H80i GT High Performance Water / Liquid CPU Cooler. 120mm, Corsair Link Software 3.2.5742 and yes, everything else works. The fan speeds are the only thing that doesn't work.
jamesfc3
Just checking to see if anyone had any ideas yet before I wipe my entire system and start over...
Toasted
Did the LINK software ever work with the fans connected to the cooler? If so, have you tried the fixed % mode and adjust that? Do the fan speeds change? If you are using any other mode, you will need to make sure the fans are grouped to a temperature device e.g. H80i GT Coolant Temp in order for the fans to change speeds. jamesfc3
it worked a long time ago. Ive tried the fixed %. The fan speeds NEVER change no matter what I do. They are all grouped to the cooler and controlled through that. I have 2 y adapters on them to control them all through the link software. There has to be something in the windows registry or somewhere hidden that I cant find.. I did a windows search and deleted everything I could find in every hidden / temp / any file folder and then searched my windows reg for any keys left behind. red-ray
No registry edits are needed for Asetek coolers such as your H80iGT. I guess you have 4 fans connected, is this correct? Are they all 4-pin PWM fans? If you just use the two fans that came with the cooler can you control those?
jamesfc3
Yes they are all 4 4-pin. They all changed speeds at one point. They stopped changing speeds. I disconnected the y adapters and just connected 2 into the cooling unit and they still wont change speeds.
red-ray
Maybe the H80iGT is broken :sigh!:. Log an RMA via https://corsair.secure.force.com/home/home.jsp and see what they say.
jamesfc3
Im going to wipe out my system (all hard drives) and start fresh to see if that works. If that doesnt work, I will contact them and see about an RMA
