radio chatter
Hi all, I have an asus x58 sabertooth core i7 OC 4.2, i have upgraded from 6gb of the same type of memory to 24gb i can only get 20gb to be recognised on boot/bios and windows I have removed the System Overclock in bios and tryed default settings and rebooted and all 24gb is recognised I know all slots are good and memory modules too When i restore my overclock only 20gb is recognised I think this might be my memory timings when overclocked currently are 8-8-8-24 with a row refresh cycle time of 208, memory volts are 1.50 Can any one advise on some safe timings i could try to see if this fixes the missing memory issue any help appreciated thanks radio chatter
Corsair Employees Corsair Henry Posted January 19, 2016 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 19, 2016 Assuming you have the latest BIOS, have you tried upping the voltage to 1.6V?

Corsair Employees Corsair Henry Posted January 20, 2016 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 20, 2016 You're are safe with 1.6V. Just dont exceed 1.65V without proper cooling.

Corsair Employees Corsair Henry Posted January 20, 2016 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 20, 2016 Hi all, I have removed the System Overclock in bios and tryed default settings and rebooted and all 24gb is recognised radio chatter If default settings is the only way you are able to get all 24GB read correctly in BIOS, you may have to OC from scratch. I suspect that the IMC can't handle your CPU clock speed, while populating all dimm slots.
radio chatter
Is it not worth adjusting the timings at all mine are currently 8 8 8 24? if i overclock from scratch may just be the same
Corsair Employees Corsair Henry Posted January 21, 2016 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 21, 2016 Is your memory kit advertised as C8? Is this your memory kit? http://www.corsair.com/en-us/vengeance-24gb-triple-channel-ddr3-memory-kit-cmz24gx3m6a1600c9 You may want to try looser timings. Try 9-9-9-24?
