Scimitar clashing with USB and audio devices

My new Scimitar effects other USB devices in very strange ways. With it plugged in the mic on my USB headset, for example, no longer functions. When i open recording devices to investigate why, it locks up.If i do get the mic to work, the sound for the headset no longer functions.I tried multiple usb ports, the only one this doesn't happen on is the USB pass through on my keyboard (vengeance k90).This isn't ideal as this port has never functioned well and anything plugged into that port often crashes or becomes unresponsive. The headset functions perfectly without the Scimitar plugged in and have never had any issues with USB devices or audio.

The scimitar also effected the onboard audio of my motherboard, when testing, i dont usually even have it installed. With it plugged in no audio works and the mic doesnt function (the headset has 3.5mm jacks & usb).Similarly the audio on my usb midi controller with built in soundcard does not function properly.

This happens on the two systems i tested, and seems very strange for something as simple as a mouse.Ive tried usb2 & 3 ports, two different systems running win7 64bit, and the CUE software and firmware are the latest versions.

Has anyone else experienced these kind of issues? This mouse just does not play nice with anything

Yes reinstalled everything only about a month ago, everythings on latest version, mobo is z77 so not new, but USB is pretty standard.Ive never encountered an issue like this, im stumped as to why audio is affected by something that has nothing to do with it.Using a USB pass through is my work around for now.

Does CUE do anything to do with audio without a supported multimedia keyboard installed? My keyboard is the Vengeance K90 so uses the older software, but that only does macros/profiles

The other system is an old one i use as a HTPC/gaming on our TV.Its got an AMD 1055T on a gigabyte micro atx mobo (USB3&2) with 8 gigs of ram GTX750ti win7 64bit.The headset issue was the same, either mic or sound were disabled with the scimitar plugged in.

What happens when you plug the Scimitar without the CUE software installed? Is the audio still gone?

Yes still happens without CUE installed , its the mic usually that gets disabled. The audio will be disabled until the media players ticked in the program section of CUE are unticked, when i first install CUE.After that audio seems to work.I also noticed that i cant access recording devices in windows while there's any media playing, as soon as i turn it off i can access them again.Seems like windows thinks the mouse is a multimedia device or something

Updated to the latest software 1.15.36 and firmware 2.01 today, and now my work around of using a USB pass through no longer works. If i plug the mouse in via a USB pass through CUE no longer registers the device is connected.Im back to either using the mouse and it breaking my headset/audio, or just not using the mouse.

I have thought of getting a new headset, but what if it effects a new one in the same way.I did wish to get the entire corsair RGB set, keyboard, mouse and headset, but all seem to have major issues.Ive even seen posts of the Void headset having the same issue as mine. While i hope you fix them i thinks its time to just call it a day for me and get a refund.

Windows was reinstalled about a month ago, and i have tried every USB port on the PC.I dont want to upgrade to windows 10, for one my mobo has no drivers for it, and i dont want windows 10.This happens on two systems.Spending this amount of time on a mouse is above and beyond.Just looking at the forums and reviews there is clearly major issues with Corsairs entire RGB range. Its not just the issue with it clashing, the macros software doesnt work properly either, which is the main selling point of the mouse.
