sangprabv
Hi, I just bought Neutron XT to replace my old hardisk on my Macbook Pro mid 2009 edition. It's already 2 days can't successfully install. It should be a one click thing but always stuck. Is there any specific how to? Thanks.
Administrators Technobeard Posted January 16, 2016 Administrators Share Posted January 16, 2016 Did you prep the SSD? Check out the first step in this article: http://www.cnet.com/how-to/upgrade-your-macbook-install-ssd-hard-drive/
sangprabv
Hi, Thanks for the link. Unfortunately it's about to clone current drive to SSD. What I'm looking for is to do a clean install.
Administrators Technobeard Posted January 16, 2016 Administrators Share Posted January 16, 2016 What part are you stuck on? Which guides have you followed? Have you asked on a mac forum?
sangprabv
On the installing part, it just say 16 minutes remaining and nothing happened for 8 hours. And after that I decided to try the CNet tips. The backup was successfully done by SuperDuper but when I instal the SSD to my MBP and the El Capitan stucked on loading screen forever. Does the SSD is not compatible?
Toasted
It could possibly be a compatibility issue. Have you tried resetting the SMC and NVRAM/PRAM?

KalanVryce
So, I am having issues as well. I got a Corsair Neutron XT for my Windows 10 machine and love it so I got one for my 17" MacBook Pro Late 2011 as well. I work in an Apple Certified Repair Center and we load OS X on machines daily however this drive has been giving me fits trying to install any version of OS X. Sure I can clone the old drive over to it just fine, it's fast and all happy however when I tried to update from 10.10 to 10.11 it restarts and eventually begins to load after having a small seizure swapping between the Apple Logo and the Universal No Symbol then just powers off. I ran the complete Apple Diagnostic tools to be sure there were no other hardware issues with my machine and that came up clean. I have reset SMC and NVRam... The only issue here seems to be the new drive that passes all tests from your SSD Toolkit so my question is when is the firmware update coming to resolve this issue?
