Ken429
I have several old reliable HX620W power supplies that are being used on EP45 MB's. I want to upgrade the MB and processor to the Z97 chipset and a G3258 processor I have laying around. Does anybody know if the HX620W power supply will work with the newer Intel chipset and processor? http://www.corsair.com/en-us/blog/2013/may/haswell-compatibility-with-corsair-power-supplies Seems like this table never got updated? Corsair Employees jonnyguru Posted January 11, 2016 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 11, 2016 It will work. Any of the Corsair PSUs will work. But it won't come back from sleep if you have the deep sleep modes enabled in the BIOS. For that, you're going to need a PSU that uses DC to DC for the +3.3V and +5V rails. Ken429
Thanks for the quick response. So...if I disable the CPU C6 and CPU C7 State Support in the Z97 Extreme6 BIOS the system will function correctly. Meaning, it will enter the C3 Sleep State and wake up normally using the HX620W P/S?
