RagingRavenRR
I only ask as the last full tower I bought (IN WIN GRone), the PSU threaded holes were no where near lining up. I wasn't going to drill new holes or anything like that, so I RMA'd it (wasn't happy with that). It's sad really, considering I was going to get the 780T originally. Instead of just buying the 780T and hoping it works, I thought I'd come here and ask. Something else I learned swapping out the 850W Thermaltake out of my current case (Thermaltake Dokker VM600M), the same holes don't line up on it either . But it did at least it let me see if the EVGA PSU was working properly. Really makes no sense to me. snapper69
I've never had a PSU not fit into any case, and I've done a few builds/rebuilds. All the cases and PSU's that I've used had standard hole spacings, even when I've used my current Corsair PSU upside down in my latest Thermaltake case. I've used cases from Thermaltake, Corsair, Cooler Master, Lian Li and 3 or 4 other makes, all without a problem, so it makes no sense to me neither. RagingRavenRR
This is a first for me, but only used 2 other PSU's before this, and they worked and fitted with Thermaltake case. I get the 780T case and hopefully it'll line up. If not, I'll break out the ole drill and make my own holes.

Good idea if you want to have a chance for the Darwin Award. _______________________________________________________________ Looking closer it seems that the PSU isn't aligned correctly. Both openings at the bottom look like they only give access to a half of the mounting holes. Same with the second one at the top left. The coloration strongly suggests that they at the following markings. http://abload.de/img/psueqq6t.png The red circles mark the position for the mounting holes of your PSU, the yellow one might be one as well. That one is hard to see. You might also try to flip the PSU 180° (aka fan up or down).

In that case, the PSU was in as far as it could go. I did try mounting it upside down too, but there would be a roughly an inch, inch and half of space before the PSU would be flush. It wouldn't go in anymore then that.

Then i assume there's something in the way. It should fit. Is there a holding clip for the PSU or a ridge in the case? The height seems to be right, it just has to move ~2mm to the left and closer to the back. Edit: At the top of the opening there seems to be something... Try to insert the PSU at an angle (aka cableside up a bit - backside down).

Just looking at other things to get.
TBrandes
Too bad. :( I would have really liked to find the cause of the problem...
RagingRavenRR
Tell you what, you buy the case and I'll mail you my PSU and you can figure it out to your hearts' content. Deal?
TBrandes
I wouldn't have to buy it as my neighbor got one. :p In a few days he comes back from Maroc and then i'll take a closer look at the case.
RagingRavenRR
Lol. See what you can do. Maybe I just had one case that was off. Let me know what you find out if you do pursue it.
