Sion12
i am going to get a Corsair K70 RGB (MX brown)CH-9000093-UK but i heard about the led failure problem of this keyboard. From what i know, this keyboard has 3 generation. Gen 1 with original logo(which is my one), Gen 2 with cheesy gaming logo, and gen 3 with latest updated sharper corsair logo. so basically, is the led failure issue addressed in the later gen or the keyboard still exactly the same except the logo? it it does fail, do i have to pay for my own postage? if i dont have a recipt am i not entitle to any warranty? Inheritance
the odds of the LED filing are very small. There has been no changed to the boards other then the logo. And yes if you RMA the board with Corsair you will have to pay for postage. And if you dont have a receipt or buy it from an authorized source you will not get the warranty. All K** RGB keyboards have the same internal parts. It doesn't have multiple generations, just color / key type / logo variations. Yes, you would have to pay shipping to the RMA depot and we would pay shipping to send the replacement to you. Yes, the receipt is required and the warranty is not transferable.
