doho47
About 2 years ago I purchased 2 sticks of CMX512-3500C2 memory for use on an Asus P4PExxx mobo. Yeah, I know, gross overkill but at the time I was trying to think of future upgrades. They have been working flawlessly since installed (never OC'c). I'm currently putting together a new rig with an Asus P4P800-E Deluxe mobo w/ P4c@3.2GHz. Questions: 1. Will it work OK? 2. If so,what would be the correct timings? 3. I MAY consider OC to 3.4 GHz...what to do? Thanks much in advance to any and all who may wiish to provide any input.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 20, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 20, 2004 Yes XMS3500C2 will run great in this MB. Just set the Dim Voltage to 2.75 Volts and set the timings to Cass 2-3-2-6 with the Rass to Cass set to "3" and you should be good to go. If you over clock I would suggest Cass 2.5-3-3-7 and test the system with http://www.memtest.org with Legacy USB disabled to be sure it’s stable.
