Trophy
When will we be able to purchase 20+4 pin sleeved cables for the RMi PSU series? Been waiting for some time now and i'm really hoping they'll be here soon! :)

Corsair Employees jonnyguru Posted December 31, 2015 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 31, 2015 CableMod makes them already. If you're in the U.S., you can buy from Performance-PCs: http://www.performance-pcs.com/cablemod-c-series-rmi-rmx-basic-cable-kit-black.html In Europe, I suggest checking CableMod's website: https://cablemod.com/product/cablemod-c-series-rmi-rmx-basic-cable-kit-black/

Yeah I was thinking the same, I recently built computers for two of my friends. Both of them has the RMi and really want them cables. CableMod makes them already. And yes Jonnyguru, I know :) I just hope they get released soon!
Corsair Employees jonnyguru Posted January 2, 2016 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 2, 2016 Still waiting as well, I'm afraid. All of the PCs we built for CES, PAX, etc. with RMi or RMx PSUs had to use Type 3 cable sets because that's all we had available. Fortunately, the performance hit from using Type 3 cables instead of Type 4 isn't "too horrible". ;):

Corsair Employees jonnyguru Posted January 3, 2016 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 3, 2016 Of course. All you're doing is by-passing the extra +12V sense and +5V sense which will prevent the PSU from cranking up the voltage if it senses a drop. The caps just filter out some ripple. By using Type 3 cables instead of Type 4 cables, you run into voltage regulation and ripple suppression performance equivalent to an HXi.

Oh any idea if corsair will be providing a braided floppy connector looks horrible coming off my sound card.
Corsair Employees jonnyguru Posted January 3, 2016 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 3, 2016 The dreaded high-end sound card... the only component left in a modern day PC that still uses the floppy power cable. No.. There are no plans to make a braided floppy cable.
