Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 20, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 20, 2004 Please make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your MB and load Setup/optimized default settings, and try the following BIOS settings; TwinX1024 or TwinX512-3200LL Advanced/Jumper Free AI over clocking: Manual CPU Freq: 200 DRAM Clock: 400 MHz Memory or Dim Reference voltage: 2.75 Volts System performance: AUTO AGP Voltage: Default *unless you have ATI (9200 or 9600) or NVIDIA (5200 or 5700) then 1.6 Volts suggested!* Advanced/Chipset Configure Dram timing by SPD: Disabled/User define SDRAM CAS Latency: 2T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 2T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6T SDRAM Burst Length: 8 Memory Acceleration Mode: Auto USB Legacy Support: Disabled All other settings should be set to default settings! Then please test them one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and let’s make sure it's not some other issue! I would run the test for at least 2-3 passes to be sure! keudeulz
i have the latest bios version, and i already test with this settings with no o/c, fsb 200 1:1 Dram CAS Latency : 2 Dram RAS Precharge : 2 Dram RAS to CAS Delay : 3 Dram Precharge Delay : 6 Dram Burst Length : 8 Dram Idle Timer : Auto Dram Refresh Mode : Auto Memory Acceleration Mode :Auto Dram Frequency : 2,75v AGP VDDQ Voltage : 1,50v memtest 3.2 and 1.20+ cd boot version makes errors on 3th pass i have tested long time searching the cause of my system instability "sufficiently" to be sure and posting here my system would seem to be stable only with SPD auto timings at 2/4/4/8 i don't test them separately, twinxmemory should not fonction by pair ? Wired
Test them one at a time in each slot as it may be a slot having the problem and not the memory.
keudeulz
ok, i have tested the slots my first dual slot seems to be dead slot B2 with part1 : no errors 5 pass run 60 min slot B4 with part2 : no errors 4 pass run 47 min no test for the moment in dual mode in slots B Maybe the source of problem was the Dram Burst set to défaut : 4? i actually run on the 2th dual slot with 2/3/2/6 / 8 @2,75v and everything seems to be OK, i'll try 6 pass memtest later to confirm i hope that my computer will be stabe now, still thank you
