Devilman12
My main problem with the case is trying to find a dust filter that will cover the top of the case as well as the bottom. i live in Florida so i need a high airflow case to keep my components cool year round. The problem is the amount of dust that it accumulates in the case. i added a picture to show my config. with the H100i in a push config, three 120mm Corsair SP intake fans and a 140mm Sp outake fan. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Lathrael
Do you clean the dust filter on the front regularly? Air 540 has very big holes at the bottom. I'm a new owner for this case, but it seems to be a clear dust source for the case than any. There are some custom filters selling around, but I find them a bit pricy. There's a cheap alternative, if you like to do some crafting, you may find or make a plastic -wooden frame, with some attach points on inside frame. Then carve some places for small circular magnets, next glue the magnets on frame. After that, you can attach some cheap stockings on it then replace them as they get dirty. I'm currently making one with plastic miniature sprue frames, and I will post it "when" it's done. You can find suitable materials for frames and magnets at a hobby store. Edit: Also having at least slightly more intake than exhaust clearly helps. Don't forget the filter on intakes will slightly reduce airflow they produce. c-attack
Decimex Kit for Air 540. You can order piece by piece. However, as in most situations, the real problem is environmental. I have essentially the same set-up, and very little dust with no filters. That is certainly a benefit to living 200ft off the ground and not having pets. Nothing you can do about either of those, but the best thing you can do is get the case off the ground. Even 4 inches would be an improvement. If it already is and you're still having issues, then filters may be necessary. Definitely get one for the bottom unless both HDD slots are filled. I don't have much issue with the rear. Another option is to throw a cover, blanket, whatever over the box when not in use.

As C-attack said, environmental issues also play a big part. You have a nice case with a wide window. Keep it on your desk if you don't. Be sure your pc is in a clean environment. Clean your gaming room regularly (Dusting your desk with a microfiber cleaner is a good idea every time you come from work/school/pub). If you do all those above, you either need A) Better intakes B) Filters C) Better, both. Even when you do things above, it's beneficial to clean pc with a compressor in a month or two, even when it looks clean, it may be covered by a sneaky fine layer of dust, that can affect cooling by a good margin. Devilman12
Thank you for the response. I have the case on the bottom shelf of my desk which puts it three to four inches off the ground. both HD bays are being used, but i do need to get filters for the top and bottom of the case . Why corsair didn't include them or even make them after releasing the case to public is beyond me. The demciflex website is a no go Norton and Google won't let me access beyond the title page because it is a potential threat to my pc, and the fact they are out of the country is not an option. Then the other problem i still need to fix is the ports for the hot swap bays don't work, the SSD boot drive in the back that is plugged directly to the MB and Power supply works fine. And the front I/O panel led's don't work as well. I think i received a defective case but i bought it as well as the other parts for this build during a six month period so i wouldn't have known that until i had the build finished. c-attack
Out of the country? That was just the manufacturer's website. You can find it at retail elsewhere. Try Performance-PCS. They are in your neighborhood. I use a Silverstone magnetic model (Amazon) on the bottom. It's not a perfect fit, but almost to the millimeter. I use one small piece of tape on each side to make sure it stays. Filters work, but they do reduce airflow a little bit. I think you might be able to cut down on a lot of the dust if you get it higher off the ground, but only you can evaluate the best solution for the room.
