koenwuyts
I'm going to clock the 3500+ to 2.5Ghz, this will be easy with the XMS4000 ram, just put the mulitplier to 10 and fsb to 250, hypertbus to 4/5 so it will also run at 1Ghz, but can I enable 1T Commands for the ram running at 250Mhz? Or do I need to use 2T. If so maybe I need to lower the fsb so 1T could be enabled? but this will slow down the Hypertbus, not? if I run on multiplier 12 with fsb 208 then the hypertbus will only reach 832Mhz, this would cause a performance drop i guess? rgds, Koen
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 21, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 21, 2004 The modules will support T1 command rate, but it has been hit and miss when over clocking. I would suggest you use Twinx1024-4400C25 as they would be more versatile with the timings and frequency, supporting Cass 2-3-2-6 at DDR400 to Cass 2.5-4-4-8 at DDR550! koenwuyts
What would be the best timings I could run the PC4000 on at DDR400? PC4400 is of course very nice but just to expensive :o:
jsteel44
Are you guaranteed your 3500+ will actually achieve 2.5GHz btw?
koenwuyts
Every OC of a 3500 i've seen can reach 2.5, probably do need a small increase of V-Core. The real challenge seems +2.6 Ghz
koenwuyts
Does anyone have an idea about the best timings for PC4000 at DDR200?
Wired
Try turning down a timing at a time. I'd guess 2.5-3-3-6 MAYBE.

TheCleaner
my 2x256 xms4000 @ 2.6 runs @ 2.5-3-3-X @ DDR400, i tried C2.. no go.. but i rekon with a bit of vdimm, theyd be ok im in the middle of buying some pre owned XMS4000 again.. but 2x512 this time.. pretty decent price.. less than what the 2x256 twinx STILL sells for
