Currently all of the XLs are TCCD, the 1.2 has a different PCB I believe.

Thats good news....

Do u think they use the Brainpower PCB? That means, they will go much better with an increase of voltage, in opposite to the old one, is that true?

What Timings @ what Frequence and Voltage can I expect?

Thx a lot for ur fast answer m8

Yes, I think the 1.2 does use the brainpower, not 100% sure. They are warrantied up to, but not over 2.9 volts. The TCCDs have ben known to hit 250 Mhz for lots of people, but of course isn't guaranteed. Highest I've heard of was something like 270 Mhz, or a bit higher, can't remember.

Good news again.....

If thats true, i got a really nice pair of modules....

@2.8V they hit 260 with 2,5-3-3-5 absolutely stable. up to 285 with 3-3-3-8

up to 220 they run stable@ 2-2-2-5

So u think i should be glad to have got these?

btw: Sry for my bad english

As some folks have discovered more voltage is definitely NOT a good thing for many PC components. In fact many Corsair modules prefer the default voltage over increased voltage. This has been documented by any number of people. In addition once in awhile a lower than default voltage works wonders... So take the over-volting hype and "hardware forum wisdom" with a LARGE grain of salt.

On the flip side, the old Winbond BH-5 memory (holy grail of memory some say) have been known to OC to insane levels with 3.0+ voltage, which of course shortens their life and voids their warranty. It's because at that voltage it overrides some internal resistor and lets the voltage affect the memory in some way.

afaik, tccds are capable of hitting 300+ when paired with brainpower pcb... there are tons of ppl on various forums posting screenshots confirming this... most of them are using ocz el3200 rev.2... samsung's goal when they were desiging tccd's was 250@cl2.5, and to be honest i haven't seen tccd ram that couldn't do this...

as for 3200c2 v4.1, they are most likely also tccd based...

Possible, not guaranteed.

i know, thats why i wrote 'most likely'... but to tell you the truth, my experience across various forums tells me that vast majority (speaking of 512mb modules) are tccd based... my v4.1 is tccd based also (confirmed by ramguy)... it may be a coincidence though...

Yep, he did confirm yours, however it's a different run, and as such may be different. I'd say TCCD is a safe bet though, but only Ram Guy knows for sure.

well, there are two more ways to know for sure: the first i do not recommend as it voids your warranty - removing the h/s... and the second one - if the ram can do 2-2-2 at 200+ mhz... cheers...
